I found Mr Fakouri most caring and thoughtful which gave me great confidence to proceed with my operation.

Mr Fakouri performed three operations on my spine as a result of my Scoliosis. SOme of this was carried out during Covid so I was extremely surprised to get the call from Guys to go in for the operations. I find Mr Fakouri extremely pleasant always having the time to deal with questions or anxiety over pending surgery. He did an excellent job on my spine relieving the extreme groin pain I was experiencing. I have recently had to refer myself back to him for a minor problem which may or may not be related to the surgery but he examined me and has ordered a nuclear CT scan to ensure he knows what he is looking at as my xrays show everything to do the orperations to be fine. I cannot recommend Mr Fakouri highly enough. He should feel proud of what he does for people like me!

After my local hospital advised they could not help with my chronic back problems I was referred to Guys Hospital. Initially I saw Pain Clinic but after months of working with them and no improvement the pain clinic doctor took my MRI to numerous surgeons and only Mr Fakouri was willing to take on my case as the damage was so severe and very near to a main artery and was potentially quite risky. I did have to lose a substantial amount of weight before he would carry out the surgery but this was to ensure the best possible outcome of the surgery which he explained to me in detail. He advised me of all possible side effects and in July 2021 he carried out ALIF and XLIF and 5 levels of spinal fusion. Although I currently have residual pain(having been in pain since 2004) I avoided all of the other possible side effects and my scarring is very minimal. I cannot thank My Fakouri enough for taking a chance on me and carrying out the surgery as I was in danger of becoming unable to walk,

A surgeon who listens to his patent and understands. I was absolutely scared with fear till I met him and when I left his clinic I felt so positive about having the surgery (ACDF) against all odds. My fear was alleviated immdiately. He is extremely good at explaining the surgery and what to expect following the surgery. The post-operative care was also excellent. I have recently visited him in his post-operative clinic. A surgeon who actually cares for his patient with passion. I wish him every success in his profession.
